Job summary

Conagra Brands is seeking a storeroom/inventory support role in Waseca, MN, to back the maintenance team. You will manage spare parts inventory, maintain storeroom records, and coordinate with vendors to ensure material availability for reliable plant equipment.

The role requires knowledge of maintenance parts, storeroom operations, and familiarity with SAP, PiLog, and CMMS; an associate degree or technical-equivalent experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow all plant safety rules and guidelines.
• Monitor and maintain spare parts inventory levels with requisitions and inventory controls.
• Receive maintenance parts through the CMMS and attach parts to equipment BOMs.
• Communicate with external vendors regarding part pricing and availability.
• Create and maintain accurate storeroom records and conduct cycle counts.
• Support maintenance operations by ensuring materials are available for reliable equipment performance.

Job description

Shift: 6:00 PM-6:00 AM

Hourly Rate: $24.98 an hour + $0.50 shift differential

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will support maintenance operations by managing spare parts inventory, maintaining accurate storeroom records, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring maintenance materials are available to support reliable plant equipment performance.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

• Follow all plant safety rules and guidelines.
• Partner with the Maintenance Manager to implement identified improvements and changes.
• Monitor and maintain spare parts inventory levels using requisitions and inventory controls.
• Receive maintenance parts through the computerized maintenance management system.
• Communicate with external vendors regarding maintenance part pricing and availability.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through daily checkout and return procedures for maintenance employees and contractors.
• Keep work orders accurate and current.
• Collaborate effectively with employees across all organizational levels.
• Organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Conduct cycle counts of storeroom inventory and assist with annual inventory counts.
• Participate in cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Process required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Analyze inventory usage trends to identify inventory reduction and process improvement opportunities.
• Create new part records or extend existing parts as needed.
• Ensure all maintenance parts are properly attached to equipment bills of material.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Ingredients Required for Your Success

• Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance parts inventory management, spare parts identification, and storeroom operations.
• Licensed Fork Truck Operator certification or the ability to obtain certification within two weeks.
• Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience in maintenance or electrical disciplines.
• Willingness to complete required training programs and additional education as requested.
• Successful demonstration of the required knowledge, skills, and qualifications during the selection process.
• Previous experience in a maintenance storeroom, maintenance planning, maintenance inventory, or maintenance technician role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance parts, equipment components, and spare parts inventory management preferred.
• Experience with SAP preferred.
• Experience with PiLog preferred.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems and equipment bills of material preferred.
• Mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience preferred.

Physical Requirements
