Job summary

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is seeking a Lead Supply Management Specialist to oversee Stock Readiness at the DLA Distribution Headquarters in New Cumberland, PA. The role focuses on managing SDRs, suspended stock and COSIS, and coordinating stock readiness across distribution centers.

You will coach teams, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with policy and standard operating procedures while resolving employee concerns and communicating the organization’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience developing, analyzing, tracking, and providing metrics on suspended stock and stock readiness.
• Auditing distribution processes to identify and correct errors and ensure quality controls.
• Experience coordinating with supervisors and presenting work-related information.

Responsibilities

• Lead Stock Readiness across DLA Distribution and SDRs, suspended stock, and COSIS.
• Oversee all Distribution Centers’ Stock Readiness programs and suspended stock.
• Serve as Stock Readiness Coordinator for DLA Distribution.
• Communicate the organization’s strategic plans, mission, vision and values to the team.
• Coach, facilitate, and negotiate in team initiatives and consensus building.
• Conduct efficiency reviews of current operations and recommend SOP improvements.
• Resolve informal employee complaints and escalate formal issues as needed.
