Job summary

DLA Careers is seeking a Supply Management Specialist to support compliance reviews within the DLA Distribution network. You will work with the Compliance Review Team as a subject matter expert across core functional areas, observing distribution operations and identifying improvements for DoW and DLA policy alignment.

You will present findings to center leadership and senior management, requiring tact and diplomacy.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience in compliance or related federal work.
Experience documenting compliance findings.
Experience presenting findings to senior management.
Ability to interact with senior management and workforce.

Responsibilities

Works with the DLA Distribution Compliance Review Team.
Acts as SME for designated core functional area(s) being reviewed.
Observes distribution operations to confirm processes align with DoW, DLA and DLA Distribution policies.
Identifies systemic shortfalls and best practices for possible implementation across the DLA distribution network.
Presents findings of compliance and non-compliance to center director and senior management.
Exercises tact and diplomacy in dealings with center leadership and DLA senior managers.
Serves as team manager for special projects or works independently on assigned projects.
Participates in system design and enhancement and coordinates changes with DLA Distribution Command, senior managers and center staff.
