Job summary

The 99 Store is hiring for a Customer Service/Stock Associate to deliver friendly assistance to customers, help locate items, and assist at checkout. You will also support daily merchandising, price accuracy, and go-back processing.

As part of operations, you may unload shipments, stock shelves, clean work areas, and execute daily to-do tasks with safety in mind. Training on baler and pallet jack is provided.

Qualifications

• Self-starter who can work independently.
• Ability to interact with customers and associates.
• Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
• Proven ability to multitask and meet shift goals and expectations.
• Ability to regularly lift 1–5 lbs and up to 50 lbs when unloading or moving inventory.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach and use basic dexterity.
• Learn to use a baler and pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Stocking and/or Cashier
• Unload and sort merchandise upon delivery arrival.
• Stock and display merchandise in accordance with Company merchandising standards.
• Follow all Company merchandising guidelines and plan-o-grams.
• Make sure all merchandise is accurately priced.
• Process and return to stock all go-backs.
• Carefully and correctly repack merchandise to be transferred back to the Distribution Center.
• Break down cardboard boxes and place in baler.
• Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot.
• Report any illegal activity by customers or employees to Store Management.
• Follow all Company safety procedures.
• Work independently with minimal direction and follow the daily to-do list.
• Clean up spills, floors, shelves, displays, bathrooms, etc.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Management or Supervisors.
