OVERVIEW

The Stock Manager is responsible for the hands-on, day-to-day execution of stock operations across our South Florida free-standing stores in Lincoln Road and Sawgrass Outlet. This role processes incoming shipments, organizes stock across the stockroom and sales floor, executes cycle counts, makes inventory adjustments, and manages product disposals and obsolescence. This also keeps stores stocked with the non-merchandise supplies they need to operate, from visual merchandising displayer units to shopping bags and other collateral. This role is primarily focused on the behind-the-scenes work of keeping stock accurate, organized, and ready to sell, though there may be occasions where supporting the sales floor or assisting customers is required.

RESPONSIBILITES:
Shipment Processing & Receiving
  • Receive and process incoming shipments at each location, verifying contents against packing slips and purchase orders
  • Inspect incoming product for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues immediately
  • Enter received inventory into company systems promptly and accurately so stock is sellable as soon as possible
  • Prioritize unpacking and floor-readying of new arrivals, seasonal sets, and promotional product
Stock Organization & Standards
  • Organize and maintain stock in the stockroom and on the sales floor, including shelving, bin/location labeling, and drawer or under-counter stock, at both locations
  • Apply first-in, first-out (FIFO) product rotation to minimize aging and expired stock
  • Keep stock areas clean, safe, and compliant with company standards and local safety codes
  • Set up and break down stock areas for deliveries, inventory events, and seasonal resets
Inventory Accuracy & Adjustments
  • Process inventory adjustments in company systems for damages, shrink, transfers, testers, and disposals, with supporting documentation
  • Investigate variances between system counts and physical stock and determine root cause
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready inventory records across both locations
Cycle Counts & Physical Inventory
  • Execute recurring cycle counts on assigned sections and categories at both locations, following the schedule and plan set by the Retail Manager
  • Reconcile count variances and elevate unresolved discrepancies for review
  • Lead the on-site execution of annual or periodic full inventory, as scheduled by the Retail Manager
Disposals, Damages & Obsolescence
  • Identify damaged, expired, or discontinued product and process markdowns or disposals according to company policy
  • Identify and manage obsolete or slow-moving product, escalating for write-off or disposition decisions per company policy
  • Document and report damages, disposals, and obsolescence to support shrink tracking
Replenishment & Stock Flow Support
  • Monitor on-hand inventory and flag out-of-stocks, overstocks, and replenishment needs to Store Managers
  • Coordinate and execute transfers between Queens and SoHo, confirming accuracy and timeliness
  • Support sales floor replenishment by keeping backstock organized and easy to pull from
Non-Merchandise Supplies & Store Materials
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of non-merchandise supplies, including visual merchandising displayer units, shopping bags, and marketing collateral
  • Place and track replenishment requests for store supplies and collateral with the appropriate corporate or vendor contacts
  • Organize and store non-merchandise supplies alongside product stock in a tidy, accessible manner
  • Partner day-to-day with the Store Manager at each location (dotted-line relationship) and store teams at both locations to resolve stock issues as they come up
  • Train store teams on receiving procedures, stock organization standards, and basic inventory best practices
  • Provide the Retail Manager with regular updates on inventory accuracy, cycle count results, and stock health
Schedule and Travel
  • Cover our South Florida free-standing stores in Lincoln Road and Sawgrass Outlet generally dividing time equally between locations
  • Spend additional time in a single location when business needs call for it, such as large shipments, inventory events, or stock issues
  • Store assignments and responsibilities may change to meet the needs of the business
  • Work a 5-day schedule; flexibility is a must, including weekends and holidays as needed for shipments, counts, and inventory events
  • Be punctual and reliable, arriving on time for every scheduled shift
  • Open stores early or stay late when required to support deliveries, counts, and other business needs
  • Travel between stores using public transportation; a personal vehicle is not required
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-2+ years of experience in retail stockroom, receiving, or inventory operations, preferably in beauty, cosmetics, or specialty retail
  • Hands-on experience processing shipments, executing cycle counts, and maintaining stock organization in both the stockroom and on the sales floor
