Job description

Who We Are Verkada is transforming how organizations protect their people and places with an integrated, privacy-sensitive AI-powered platform that includes solutions for video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management.

We’ve got serious momentum in the market: more than 31,000 customers (including 100+ of the Fortune 500), a $5.8B valuation, more than $1 billion in annualized revenue, and backing from CapitalG, Sequoia Capital, General Catalyst, Felicis Ventures, Next47 and more. Physical AI is one of the most consequential technology shifts of our time, and Verkada is at the center of it. You can look at all kinds of communities to see our platform’s impact in the world. It’s the retailer that uses our agentic AI to deter theft before it happens. The warehouse that uses AI‑powered alerts to make sure its team is protected on the floor with proper PPE. The school that’s alerted to a threat in real‑time and triggers a lockdown in seconds, not minutes. We’re rapidly scaling this impact: today, more than 2 million Verkada devices are deployed across 170+ countries.

About The Role

We are looking for an exceptional senior equity administrator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be detailed, analytical, and have the ability to design and improve processes for our global equity incentive programs. You will own the day‑to‑day administration of our equity programs along with managing the entire equity life cycle as we prepare for the transition to a public company.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee all equity transactions, including new grants, option exercises, RSU vesting events, cancellations, and stock pool updates.
  • Ensure accuracy of the cap table and completeness of supporting documentation for all equity transactions.
  • Coordinate closely with the People, Accounting, Payroll, Legal and Tax Teams to ensure accurate tax withholding and reporting for equity events.
  • Help prepare equity data for financial reporting.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to all aspects of our equity compensation plans.
  • Will be a key team member for our transition from Carta to a public company equity platform.
  • Design and document scalable processes, SOPs and internal controls.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors (e.g., transfer agents, valuation firms, equity platform providers).
What You Bring
  • 3+ years of direct experience in equity administration with a public or late‑stage private company.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience in a SOX environment.
  • Solid understanding of domestic and international equity taxation, mobility rules, and SEC regulations.
  • Certified Equity Professional designation is a plus.
  • Experience with high‑growth companies.
  • Ability to explain complex equity concepts in simple terms while maintaining a calm and helpful demeanor.
  • Strong knowledge of equity compensation plans (RSUs, stock options, ESPP) and related regulations.
  • Experience managing equity administration systems. Experience implementing such systems and scaling equity administration processes preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to commute 5 days in office.
