Foundations Health Solutions is seeking a Night Shift State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to provide compassionate, high-quality care to residents during overnight hours, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity.

The STNA assists with activities of daily living, monitors residents, performs safety rounds, responds to call lights, documents care and vitals, and collaborates with nurses to maintain continuity of person-centered care.

Job description

The Night Shift State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) is responsible for providing compassionate, high-quality care to residents during overnight hours while ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. The STNA assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, repositioning, transferring, and mobility assistance according to each resident's individualized care plan. They monitor residents throughout the night, perform routine safety rounds, respond promptly to call lights, and address residents' physical and emotional needs with patience and professionalism.

The STNA observes residents for changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition and promptly reports any concerns to the licensed nursing staff. Responsibilities include obtaining and documenting vital signs, recording intake and output when required, assisting with meals and hydration as needed, and ensuring residents receive appropriate comfort measures. The STNA also helps prevent falls, pressure injuries, and other complications by following established safety protocols and providing timely interventions.

In addition to direct resident care, the Night Shift STNA maintains a clean, organized, and sanitary environment by making beds, changing linens, restocking supplies, and following infection prevention and control procedures. They accurately document care provided, communicate effectively during shift reports, and collaborate with nurses and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care. Through compassion, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to person-centered care, the Night Shift STNA promotes a safe, respectful, and supportive environment that enhances residents' quality of life throughout the overnight shift.
