Job summary

Heatherdowns Care Center is seeking a State Tested Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care, including bathing and personal needs, while supporting daily living activities. You will monitor health status, assist with mobility, and report changes to qualified nurses.

The role includes supervising STNAs and participating in ongoing staff development to ensure high-quality care within a safe environment.

Qualifications

Must possess a current STNA license in this state.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Able to be a supportive team member and promote teamwork.
Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
Knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and guidelines for nursing facilities.
Leadership and supervisory ability to work with staff.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Assist residents with daily living activities such as toileting and mobility.
Monitor residents' conditions and report changes to the nursing team.
Supervise and educate STNAs and other staff on policies and procedures.
Participate in staff development and orientation programs.
Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with safety and sanitation protocols.
