Job summary

Canal Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to provide direct resident care on the day shift. The 12-hour shift runs from 7am to 7pm, offering a balanced schedule and the opportunity to impact residents' wellbeing.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and transfers under licensed nurse supervision; monitoring vital signs; maintaining a safe, clean environment; and collaborating with the care team to

Qualifications

• Current STNA certification in the state of Ohio.
• Prior experience in a long term care setting or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, under the supervision of a licensed nurse
• Assists with feeding, toileting, and transferring residents as needed
• Monitor and record vital signs, report changes to nursing staff, and document resident care
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and colleagues
• Participate in therapeutic activities, recreation programs, and other events to promote resident engagement and well-being
