Job summary

Gillman Home Center in Muncie, IN is seeking a rental equipment service technician to inspect, clean, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on our rental fleet. You will interact with customers, guide solutions, and support at the counter while ensuring safety and equipment readiness.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and Stihl certification or the ability to obtain it.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Mechanical expertise is a must for this position.
• Valid driver's license; For-Hire Endorsement not required but preferred.
• Stihl Certification – we can help you obtain this certification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, clean, repair and perform preventative maintenance on rental equipment.
• Provide excellent service to customers and assist at the rental counter.
• Answer questions, resolve concerns and advise customers on solutions.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance on equipment and generate purchase orders for repairs.
• Operate the rental counter: take payments, process contracts, and load/unload items.
• Maintain a clean and safe rental area and follow safety policies.
