Job summary

Fairmont New Orleans is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to lead daily Stewarding operations within our luxury hotel. You will ensure all areas meet cleanliness, safety, and service standards while guiding a team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The ideal candidate has 2 years in food service janitorial work, supervisory experience, and strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and English communication. This role is on-site in the heart of New Orleans.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in food service janitorial position.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of equipment.
• Knowledge of chemical handling.
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbal and non-verbal.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and directions.
• Compute basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of departmental policies and standards.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and respond promptly.
• Maintain positive guest relations and resolve complaints.
• Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
• Coordinate staff breaks and ensure attendance.
• Review service needs and ensure equipment par levels meet specs.
• Complete work orders for maintenance and report issues.
