Job summary

The Grand Hyatt Seattle is seeking a Banquet Steward/Dishwasher to maintain the cleanliness of china, silverware and cookware for all banquet events and to transport culinary offerings from the kitchen to event spaces. You will work closely with the culinary and banquets teams to ensure flawless event execution.

This fast-paced role requires strong verbal and written communication, refined organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

A Banquet Steward/Dishwasher is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all hotel china, silverware, and cookware for our banquet functions, as well as transporting culinary offerings from the kitchens to the event spaces. This person must have great verbal and written communication skills and basic mathematical reasoning. Refined organizational skills and strong time management skills are vital to this role, working alongside our Culinary and Banquets team in ensuring events are executed flawlessly. In addition, this individual must be able to lift, pull and push a moderate amount of weight (50lbs). This is a fast paced position that will involve constant teamwork interactions.

The hourly rate for this position is $28.20/hour to $29.78/hour. The starting rate for this position is $28.20/hour. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who have remained in this position with Hyatt for four years or more, which is currently offered at $28.76/hour. This position may also have a lead role, based on experienced, at $29.20/hour. For those colleagues who have remained as a lead steward for four years or more with Hyatt, the established rate is currently $29.78/hour.
