Job summary

Bally in Dover, Delaware is seeking a cleaning staff member to train others, manage recycling procedures, and ensure proper waste disposal. The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and professional presentation.

You will handle recycling logs, operate pulper equipment, and maintain recycling areas while delivering customer service. Starting compensation is $17.00 per hour, with required weekend, holiday, and night shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• Knowledge of various cleaning equipment used in the cleaning industry preferred.
• Must be able to report to work on time as scheduled.
• Must possess proficient communication skills.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and nights as needed.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must present an overall professional appearance and report to work in appropriate attire.
• Must be detail-oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Trains staff in the proper procedures to maximize recycling and minimize trash disposal costs.
• Ensures recycling bins are available and used in all predetermined areas.
• Ensures all waste is dumped at pre-designated times into proper receptacles.
• Maintains a log of what and how much is recycled, and reviews weekly with Chief Steward.
• Reports recycling compliance issues to the Chief Steward.
• Ensures that trash cans are cleaned on a daily basis.
• Reports any recycle bins that need to be replaced.
• Ensures that food waste is put through the pulper properly.
• Oversees pulper use and reports any necessary issues to maintenance.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of recycling areas.
• Provides exceptional customer service
• Works safely, following all established safety rules and regulations
• Communicates effectively with co-workers, supervisors and guests
• Follows all relevant policies and procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Union Representation: This position is represented by Unite Here and is subject to the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights as scheduled
