Job summary

Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participates in cleaning various rooms and areas of the facility, including sweeping, mopping/scrubbing, vacuuming of carpets, and removal of trash to proper disposal areas.
• Prepares and cleans restrooms, restocking supplies when required and removing stains from carpets and seats.
• Washes windows both inside and outside of the facility.
• Assists in separating recyclables from trash and disposing of items properly.
• Cleans and maintains other equipment and areas as directed.
• Operates walkie‑talkie radios as required.
• Maintains a neat and groomed appearance and demeanor during the workday.

There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Previous experience in similar functions desirable.

Skills and Abilities:

• Operate all power equipment in inventory (buffers, wet vacuums, large area vacuums, ride‑on scrubbers & sweepers, floor machines & carpet extraction machines).
• Maintain equipment, perform minor repairs, and operate with minimal supervision.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Read and understand GHS Chemical Safety Program & SDS sheets to use chemicals safely.
• Work safely from ladders, small lifts, and scaffolding as needed.
• Complete OSHA BBP training and follow proper procedures for spills.
• Operate large powered cleaning equipment or complete required training.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Work flexible hours, including daytime, evening, weekends and holidays.
• Read, write and speak in English.
• Complete trainings and pass testing requirements.
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
• Be at least 18 years old.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The position requires lifting at least 60 lbs. without assistance, walking and standing for most of the shift, and bending or stooping. Tasks may occur in adverse conditions, such as loud noise, dust, inclement weather, or moving vehicles. The position requires working from ladders, scaffolding, or lifts as required, and climbing stairs with equipment.

Union dues/fees shall apply. Non‑Negotiable Union Hourly Rate: $18.32.
