Aspen One in Aspen, CO is seeking a Seasonal Kitchen Steward to support dishwashing, food prep assistance, and general kitchen sanitation during the winter season.
You will follow chef specifications, maintain clean work areas, and assist with deliveries and equipment upkeep, with shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
The Stewardis responsible forcleaning and storing all flatware, silver, glass, kitchen trays, pots, pans according to the direction of the restaurant management team. The Steward alsoassistsin food preparation asrequested. This position reports to the Executive Steward.

Clean and stack all dishes properly
Store dishes and silver in the designated locations
Set up cleaning area: put dish machine together properly, fill all water tanks, turn on heating elements to dish machine
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment,participatein pre and post shift cleaning and organization to include but not limitedto:kitchen equipment, walk in fridge/freezer storage, dry storage, trash, recycle, mopping, sweeping
Assistwith storage of food deliveries
Clean kitchen walls, floors, loading docks, and other associated areas at the proper time
Disassemble, clean and re-assemble dishwasher prior to end of shift
Postappropriate cautionsigns when the floor is wet or being mopped to ensure highest level of safety
Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean orderly condition
Assistwith preparing food items according to chef specifications
Follow daily preparation list to ensure items are ready for service
Report any problems with food product, kitchenequipmentor work area to Executive Steward
Other duties as assigned
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior work experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred
ServSafeor similar food safety course certification is preferred
Great Knowledge of company policies and procedures
Familiarity with company rules, regulations, and operational standards
Basic industry terminology
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Ability to do basic problem-solving
Ability toidentifystraightforward issues and propose simple solutions
Ability to follow oral or written directions in basic English
Ability to work in collaboration with others to achieve team goals
Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes, customer flow, environments, and taskswith great attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work nights,weekendsand holidays
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time
Regularly workin wet,hotand humid conditions for extended periods of time and may berequiredto walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
Must be able to occasionally lift,pushor pull up to 50 lbs. individually or withassistance(weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
Ability to ski or ride at an intermediate level isrequiredfor employees of ski in/ski out restaurants in the winter
