The Steward/Potwasher/Warewasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and proper storage of all china, glass, and silver, and ensuring the highest standards of sanitation. He/she also assists the kitchen staff in maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and storage areas, and helps with proper food storage and rotation.

Responsibilities include:

1. Maintaining cleanliness in kitchens and related areas.
2. Heavy cleaning of kitchen equipment and surfaces.
3. Washing pots, pans, and utensils following sanitation procedures.
4. Cleaning floors and other surfaces in food and beverage areas.
5. Operating dishwashing equipment and ensuring sanitation standards.
6. Properly storing clean china, glass, and silverware.
7. Reporting equipment shortages and faults.
8. Following safety and sanitation standards.
9. Assisting with restaurant setup, breakdown, and banquet service as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy physical work and stand for long periods.
