Steward (Full-Time) | InterContinental Miami Downtown

About the Role

As a Steward, your primary responsibilities will include cleaning and sanitizing dishware, silverware, glassware, pots & pans, utensils, and work areas in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up work stations, operate dishwashing machines per manufacturer instructions, and store clean dishes appropriately.
• Clean kitchen equipment, including hoods, filters, ovens, and floors, following safety and sanitation standards.
• Check equipment for proper functioning and report hazards or emergencies to supervisors.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and monitor chemical and water temperatures.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for extended periods, and handle kitchen chemicals safely.
• Effective communication and ability to follow instructions.

Work Schedule & Compensation

This role offers an hourly rate of $15.00, with opportunities for benefits such as paid time off, health insurance, 401(k), hotel discounts, and more. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
