Job summary

Hyatt at Spruce Peak in Stowe, Vermont, is hiring for a dishwashing/kitchen support role. You will operate dishwashing equipment, sanitize and store wares, maintain the dish room, and assist with basic cleaning tasks in a fast‑paced resort kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish room and kitchen areas.
• Remove trash and recycling to disposal areas.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors and keep work areas safe.
• Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces and kitchen equipment.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Restock kitchen supplies, chemicals, and disposables.
• Follow all food safety and workplace safety standards.
• Support cooks and culinary staff with cleaning tasks.
• Assist with end-of-shift and deep-cleaning projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish room and kitchen areas.
• Remove trash and recycling regularly and transport to designated disposal areas.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors, ensuring all work areas remain clean and safe.
• Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces and kitchen equipment as directed.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries when needed.
• Restock kitchen supplies, chemicals, and disposables as required.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Support cooks and culinary staff with basic cleaning and organizational tasks.
• Assist with end-of-shift and deep-cleaning projects.

Pay Rate: $19+ an hour

• Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
• Comfortable working in hot, wet, and fast-paced kitchen environments.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special club events.
• Full-time and part-time positions available.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
