Job summary

A local hospitality venue in Pittsburgh is seeking a Steward / Dishwasher to perform essential dishwashing and kitchen cleaning functions. You will maintain cleanliness in kitchen areas, assist with food preparation, and support efforts to enhance guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate has prior experience in a stewarding role and a willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Qualifications

• Previous stewarding experience required or equivalent training.
• Ability to follow safety regulations and practices.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans.
• Maintain kitchen work areas and equipment in clean condition.
• Stock supplies in storage areas and serving stations.
• Perform food preparation functions as needed.
• Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
• Sweep and wash floors and clean trash cans.
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
• Perform food preparation functions in the event of staffing shortages or during peak periods.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
