Job summary

Hyatt Regency Phoenix is seeking a Steward/Dishwasher to maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen by washing and storing all china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and kitchen equipment. You will support culinary and F&B teams by ensuring items are cleaned and ready for service.

In this role you will operate dishwashing equipment safely, assist with receiving and storing supplies, and help maintain cleanliness across kitchen areas, walk-ins, and related spaces.

Qualifications

• Previous stewarding, dishwashing, or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, dish stations, storage rooms, walk-ins, and trash areas.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Remove trash and recycling and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing kitchen supplies as needed.
• Support banquet and restaurant operations by maintaining adequate inventory of clean service ware.
• Clean kitchen equipment, floors, walls, and workstations as assigned.
• Report maintenance or sanitation concerns to management promptly.
• Work collaboratively with culinary and food and beverage teams to ensure smooth operations.
