Responsibilities

• Breakdown, load, unload, and sort dishes, glassware, and flatware as brought to the dish area.
• Wash, sort, and store pots; place larger items on bottom shelves.
• Monitor and adjust dishwashing outputs and chemical dispensers.
• Sweep, mop floors, wash floor mats; clean sinks and work surfaces.
• Transport equipment to banquet rooms; prep and stage items for service.
• Unload cleaned dishes, inspect for cleanliness, and stack in carts.
• Picks up trash in kitchen and loading dock areas.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operation.

Job Description

• Breakdown, load, unload, catches, and properly sorts all dishes, glassware and flatware as it is brought to the dish area.
• Wash, sort, and store pots in their proper location on shelves, larger items on the bottom shelves.
• Loads dishwashing solutions into automatic dispensers and regulates the output of detergents and chemicals to the dishwashing machine by monitoring and adjusting controls.
• Wash baseboards, floor drains, hand sinks, tables and cutting boards.
• Sweep and mop all floors and wash all floor mats.
• Separate and remove trash, garbage and place in designated containers and steam cleans and hoses out garbage cans.
• Polish silver, copper and brass in all areas, as needed.
• Regular transport of equipment such as hot and cold box, speed racks, push carts from hallways to deliver to banquet room.
• Unloads clean dishes from racks after being processed through dish machine, inspects for cleanliness, and carefully stacks in specified carts and shelves.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.
• Picks up trash in kitchen and loading dock area.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant directed by the manager or immediate supervisor.

Preferred

• At least 1 year of related kitchen experience.
