Job summary

The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated is seeking a Steward to support back-of-house operations, ensuring the right food, beverage, and supply items are on hand for a busy, high-volume restaurant.

You will place orders, receive deliveries, inspect quality, rotate stock using FIFO, and maintain organized storage across dry, cold, and frozen areas. The role emphasizes accuracy, speed, and teamwork in a hospitality-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, kitchen, or food service industry experience preferred.
• Experience with inventory, ordering, receiving, or supply management, a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary support for all food, beverage, and supply needs
• Place orders while maintaining accurate documentation and inventory logs
• Receive and inspect deliveries, verifying order accuracy, weights, and measurements while ensuring items meet quality standards
• Stock, zone, and organize inventory in designated areas, including dry storage, coolers, and freezers
• Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices
• Maintain organized storage systems that support kitchen efficiency and accessibility
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
• Work with speed and a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
• Follow instructions accurately, completing assigned tasks with consistency and attention to detail
• Communicate clearly and professionally, fostering positive vendor relations
• Demonstrate leadership through accountability, problem solving, and upholding standards
• Multitask and work well under pressure with a positive, patient attitude
