Job summary

Residence Inn Berkeley, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to support our culinary team in Berkeley, CA. You will maintain clean dishware and kitchen areas, assist in restaurant and banquet operations, and help uphold safety and sanitation standards.

• Must be able to bend, twist, lift and stand for extended shifts.

Responsibilities

• Wash all china, glassware, silverware, pots and pans used in restaurant, kitchen and banquet.
• Break down boxes, empty trash into dumpster and clean containers.
• Clean walls in the kitchen, especially in dish room area.
• Clean floor mats, sweep and mop the kitchen floor daily.
• Ensure the dish machine operates correctly and reads at the appropriate temperature.
• Assist with unloading and organizing shipments.
• Perform all other duties as deemed necessary by management.

What you will have an opportunity to do

• Responsible for washing all china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans and other items used in the restaurant, kitchen and banquet department.
• Responsible for breakdown of all boxes, emptying trash containers into the dumpster and cleaning all containers.
• Clean walls in the kitchen as appropriate; especially in dish room area.
• Clean floor mats, sweeps and mop entire kitchen floor daily.
• Ensure the dish machine is operating effectively and reading at the appropriate temperature.
• Assist with unloading and organizing shipments.
• Perform all other duties as deemed necessary by management.
