Primary Function: Responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing, distribution, storage, and sterilization of surgical instruments in the Sterile Processing area. Knowledge of instruments/equipment and interaction with surgeons, nurses, and OR team are vital to ensure proper products are available during surgery.
