Job Summary

The Sterilization Technician is responsible for keeping dental instruments clean, sanitized, organized and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow OSHA standards and ensure sterilization procedures are properly followed.
• Ensure instruments are sterilized promptly upon arrival in central sterilization.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of sterilization areas.
• Keep accurate logs of spore testing and monitor instrument sterilization processes.
• Report issues with equipment, supplies, or procedures to the dental director.
• Respond to provider requests regarding instruments and handpieces.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
