Job summary

Sotera Health is a global leader in sterilization and lab testing services, with 64 facilities and over 3,000 employees. This Operator role supports monitoring and operation of sterilization systems to safeguard product quality and patient safety.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and 6–12 months of experience in a sterilization environment, with English fluency and ability to lift 50 pounds. Shift work and forklift experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6–12 months sterilization experience preferred.
• Fluent in English (read, write, speak).
• Able to lift 50 lb and perform repetitive lifting.
• Willing to work established shifts.
• Forklift driving experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills desired.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the sterilization system, including pressure, temperature and humidity readings.
• Turn valves and adjust controls to ensure safe operation.
• Observe sterilizers and auxiliary units to detect malfunctions and assist with repairs.
• Document and record process readings.
• Report damaged product to the Shift Supervisor or Process Supervisor.
• Report system problems to Maintenance staff.
• Perform daily/weekly equipment preventative maintenance tasks as required.
• Store and handle chemicals per procedures and laws.
• Participate in plant safety committees and follow safety rules.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
• Oversee the work of Process Assistant Operators.
