Job summary

BD seeks a Process & Equipment Engineer specializing in sterilization to design, maintain, and improve sterilization processes, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. This onsite role includes 24/7 on-call duties after training and collaboration with QA.

The candidate will monitor KPI, OEE, and cost improvements while updating ISO documents and procedures, with opportunity for advancement in a dynamic healthcare technology environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial)
• 2+ years of relevant engineering and equipment experience
• Experience within a PSM (Process Safety Management) regulated manufacturing environment
• CAD experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance sterilization process systems while tracking KPI (Key Performance Indicators).
• Update department procedures and ISO documentation as needed.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and reduce non-conformances.
• Monitor equipment uptime and sterilization OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
• Provide detailed performance reports and trend analysis to management using data analysis tools.
• Train operators and technicians on system usage.
• Manage projects from initiation through completion.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance on equipment/process non-conformances and corrective actions.
• On-Call Responsibilities: 24/7 on-call after initial training, remote troubleshooting and coordination.
