Planet Pharma is seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer for the North Haven, CT campus to lead analysis, design, and support of sterilization infrastructure in a clean medical device manufacturing environment. The role covers HVAC, exhaust, chillers, boilers, and dry compressed air, with growth potential.

The job requires coordinating with architecture/engineering firms, evaluating design costs, preparing bid sheets, and ensuring projects meet schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 2-10 years of Facility Mechanical/Electrical infrastructure and Building Automation Systems experience.
• Or Master’s Degree and 2+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of facilities, equipment, buildings, and structures.
• Gather and review data on facility/equipment specs, restrictions, deadlines, and feasibility.
• Coordinate with architecture/engineering firms on design criteria and drawings.
• Prepare bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
• Review and estimate design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials.
• Inspect progress and commissioning to ensure conformance to drawings, specs, and schedules.
• Travel to other sites 5-10% depending on project needs.
