Job summary

FITS is seeking an engineer to contribute to the Facilities division, focusing on design/build of clean rooms, chiller and compressed air plants, and critical building systems in the US. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 4 years’ relevant experience in Medical Devices or Pharmaceuticals.

Bilingual Spanish/English and flexibility for travel are essential. Responsibilities include coordinating with architectural/engineering firms, preparing bids, and estimating costs while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 4 years in Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical industry.
• Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Day shift; may require other shifts.
• Experience reading blueprints, shop drawings, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Support design/build of clean rooms, chiller plants, and compressed air plants.
• Plan and oversee reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of facilities and equipment.
• Gathers and reviews data on facility specs, restrictions, schedules, and feasibility.
• Coordinate with architecture/engineering firms on design criteria and drawings.
• Prepare bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
• Estimate design costs including equipment, installation, labor, and materials.
• Inspect construction progress and commissioning to ensure conformance to drawings and schedules.
• Travel to other sites 5–10% as needed.
