Job summary

Planet Pharma in North Haven, CT seeks a Senior Facilities Engineer – Sterilization to lead analysis, design, and support for multi-year sterilization infrastructure projects at the campus. The role covers HVAC, exhaust, chillers, boilers, dry compressed air, and related facilities.

You will act as owner’s-rep engineer, collaborate with architecture/engineering firms, review costs, and oversee commissioning.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of Facility Mechanical infra, Electrical infra, and Building Automation Systems experience OR Master’s Degree and 2+ years.
Experience with clean rooms, chiller plants, and compressed air plants.
Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and schematics.
Experience with temperature control, critical environment monitoring, power management, and alarming.
Travel to other sites 5-10% depending on project needs.

Responsibilities

Plans, designs, and oversees reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of facilities.
Gathers and reviews data on facility/equipment specs and constraints.
Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms on design criteria and drawings.
Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
Reviews design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials.
Inspects construction progress and commissioning to ensure conformance to drawings.
Travel to other sites as needed (5-10%).
