Job summary

BD is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to lead preventive maintenance of sterilization equipment and facility systems on-site in Sandy, Utah. You will troubleshoot critical utilities and manage external contractors for upgrades and validations.

The role requires strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and process validation, with a focus on quality, safety, and cost reduction. On-site presence is essential with occasional after-hours support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent with experience.
• Five+ years' experience (or ten with Associates).
• Experience with sterile equipment maintenance and facility systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventive maintenance for sterilization equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot and maintain utility systems: Steam, Hot water, Chilled water, Vacuum, Nitrogen.
• Coordinate external contractors and supervise projects.
• Lead equipment validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ/FAT) and document protocols.
• Plan annual plant shutdowns and manage budgets and spare parts.
