Job summary

BD in Covington, GA is seeking an onsite Process & Equipment Engineer specializing in sterilization to design, maintain, and improve our sterilization processes. The role includes monitoring KPI, leading improvements, training staff, and coordinating with Quality Assurance to address non-conformances.

After training, the position requires 24/7 on-call availability with remote support, sometimes onsite as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial).
2+ years of relevant engineering and equipment experience.
Experience within a PSM (Process Safety Management) regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.
CAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain and enhance sterilization process systems while tracking KPI (Key Performance Indicators).
Update department procedures and ISO documentation as needed.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and reduce non-conformances.
Monitor equipment uptime and sterilization OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
Provide detailed performance reports and trend analysis to management using data analysis tools.
Train operators and technicians on system usage.
Manage projects from initiation through completion.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance on equipment/process non-conformances and corrective actions.
On-Call Responsibilities: 24/7 on call after training period, with remote troubleshooting and coordination.
