Job summary

The candidate will handle inventory, monitor autoclaves, and follow current sterilization regulations and CDC guidelines, ensuring sterility and readiness for patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and one year experience in Sterile Supply required.
• Currently CSPDT certification preferred by CBSPD.
• Knowledge of sterilization procedures and infection control practices; prior healthcare or dental environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate sterilizing equipment according to current regulations and guidelines.
• Monitor and report technical problems with autoclaves and equipment.
• Maintain proper inventory of sterilization chemicals and supplies.
• Collect, clean, decontaminate, disinfect and sterilize dental instruments, trays, and patient care equipment.
• Hand wash and cold sterilize equipment as indicated per CDC guidelines.
• Work closely with faculty, staff and students in a fast-paced clinical environment to ensure instruments are sterilized, packaged and distributed on time.
