Job summary

The University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a STERILE SUPPLY TECHNICIAN-SOD to operate sterilizing equipment and ensure the proper sterilization of instruments and equipment in a fast-paced clinical environment. The position requires a High School diploma or GED, at least one year of experience in sterile supply, and knowledge of infection control practices. Strong attention to detail and communication skills are essential. The role offers an hourly rate of $15.00 - $16.93, with a shift primarily during the day.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate all sterilizing equipment according to current regulations.
• Monitor and report technical problems with equipment and autoclaves.
• Keep proper inventory of sterilization chemicals and supplies.
• Collect, clean, decontaminate, disinfect and/or sterilize dental instruments, trays, packs, and patient care equipment.
• Hand wash and cold sterilize equipment as per CDC guidelines.
