The University of Alabama at Birmingham seeks a STERILE SUPPLY TECHNICIAN-SOD to operate all sterilizing equipment according to current regulations, monitor equipment, and maintain inventory. The role involves sterilizing dental instruments, trays and patient care equipment in a fast-paced clinical setting. Onsite schedule with day shifts.

Hourly rate ranges from $15.00 to $16.93. Certification as CSPDT is preferred; a high school diploma or GED with one year experience in Sterile Supply is

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED and one year experience in Sterile Supply required.
• CBSPD CSPDT certification preferred.
• Knowledge of sterilization procedures and infection control in healthcare or dental environments.

Responsabilidades

• Operate sterilizing equipment according to current regulations.
• Monitor and report technical problems with equipment and autoclaves.
• Maintain proper inventory of sterilization chemicals and supplies.
• Collect, decontaminate, disinfect and sterilize dental instruments, trays and packs.
• Hand wash and cold sterilize equipment per CDC guidelines.
