Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience as a clinical expert for a group of employees, mentoring and training staff on technical skills.
• Associates degree or an equivalent education/experience combination.
• Knowledge of cleaning, decontaminating and sterilization equipment.
• Knowledge of telecommunication equipment and information systems.
• Knowledge of general patient care supplies.
• Thorough knowledge of sterilization principles and AAMI standards.
• Experience with office equipment and multiple computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve on the leadership team as a shift supervisor for the designated operation, overseeing day-to-day operations.
• Mentor and train colleagues on technical skills and best practices.
• Make decisions regarding daily priorities for the work group.
• Provide guidance to staff on non-routine or escalated issues and support problem resolution.
• Complete performance appraisals and/or disciplinary actions as needed.
