Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare in Saint George, UT is seeking a Central Processing Technician to ensure basic surgical supplies, instruments and equipment are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored and tracked in accordance with regulations.

You will train to perform duties independently with minimal supervision and use hospital systems to facilitate accurate record keeping; overtime or float to other departments may be required based on patient volume

• Disassemble, clean, decontaminate, and disinfect basic surgical instruments.
• Identify, assemble, wrap, label and sterilize/high level disinfect basic surgical instruments.
• Print off a needs list and collect all the necessary items needed for surgical/medical procedures.
