The role involves sterilization, preparation, and distribution of sterile items and reusable medical devices for patient care. The incumbent will follow SOPs, maintain equipment, and work with a team to ensure timely processing of instrumentation and case carts.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience demonstrating ability to perform the work
• Two years of education above high school with at least 12 sem hours in related courses are acceptable
• Course substitutions may apply for military training in related fields

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of SOPs for cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization
• Disassembles, cleans, and prepares reusable medical devices
• Inspects, packages, and sterilizes instruments and sets
• Operates sterilization equipment and maintains daily checks
• Prepares operating room case carts and supports decontamination areas
