Job summary

Frontenac Surgery and Spine Care Center seeks motivated individuals to train as Sterile Processing Tech Trainees. Under supervision, you will learn decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, storage and distribution of instruments while progressing toward certification.

Sterile Processing Tech Trainee at Frontenac Surgery and Spine Care Center

The Sterile Processing Technician Trainee is an entry-level position designed for individuals pursuing a career in Sterile Processing through a structured educational pathway supported by Stepful. Under supervision, trainees learn decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment while progressing toward certification and employment as a Sterile Processing Technician.

Essential Functions

• Participate in Stepful coursework and competencies
• Assist with instrument decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization preparation, inventory management, storage and distribution of sterile supplies
• Maintain documentation
• Support quality and infection prevention initiatives

Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications
