United Surgical Partners International is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to maintain surgical instrumentation and set up supplies for upcoming surgeries in Sugar Land, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and experience with all types of sterilizers and OR instruments; CRCST or CSPDT certification is preferred.

Our hospital is seeking a motivated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. Our facility is committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

Job Summary

The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required
• Computer skills, required
• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred
• Six months of experience, preferred
• 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
• Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
• Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
• Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
• Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
