Job summary

Frontenac Surgery and Spine Care Center is seeking motivated individuals to train as Sterile Processing Technicians. This entry-level role provides a structured educational pathway through Stepful, with supervised decontamination, inspection, sterilization, and distribution of instruments as you progress toward certification.

You will learn documentation, participate in quality and infection prevention initiatives, and gain hands-on experience in a surgical setting at Frontenac’s clinic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Enrollment in or eligibility for a Stepful-supported Sterile Processing Technician training program
• Basic computer proficiency
• Effective communication skills
• Preferred: Healthcare, customer service, supply chain, or clinical support experience
• Preferred: Familiarity with medical terminology

Sterile Processing Tech Trainee at Frontenac Surgery and Spine Care Center

The Sterile Processing Technician Trainee is an entry-level position designed for individuals pursuing a career in Sterile Processing through a structured educational pathway supported by Stepful. Under supervision, trainees learn decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment while progressing toward certification and employment as a Sterile Processing Technician.
