Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification from a nationally recognized credentialing agency for Central Service or Sterile Processing is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience in sterile processing or a similar role.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Must have strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities are expected.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment following manufacturer guidelines.
• Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
• Inspect equipment for damage or wear and report defects.
• Wrap and label supplies for sterilization using proper technique.
• Ensure all sterile supplies are labeled, dated, and meet parameters.
• Maintain records of sterilization loads and quality control results.
• Follow safety procedures to prevent exposure to infectious materials.
• Comply with state and federal regulations.
