Job summary

SurgCenter of the Potomac in Bethesda, MD, is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician PRN to support surgical cases and maintain instrumentation in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center. The role requires accuracy, organization, and strong teamwork.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, computer skills, knowledge of sterilization equipment, and the ability to work as part of a team while ensuring proper records and reports.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred.
  • Six months of experience, preferred.
  • 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
  • Experience with all types of sterilizers.
  • Knows operating room instrumentation.
  • Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
  • Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
  • Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
  • Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
  • Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians

The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

  • High School diploma or GED required

Pay Range: $22.69 - $32.90

Required Skills:
