Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. at SurgCenter of the Potomac in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician (PRN) to ensure instrument readiness for daily surgical cases.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, CRCST/CSPDT preferred, and 2-3 years instrument room tech experience; familiarity with Sterrad and steam sterilizers is expected.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED required.
  • CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred.
  • 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician preferred.
  • Experience with steam/ gravity sterilizers and Sterrad sterilizers.
  • Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and OR setup.
  • Strong organization and report-keeping abilities.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and supply items.

SurgCenter of the Potomac is seeking a motivated Sterile Processing Technician PRN to join our team. Our fast paced ASC is committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

Job Summary

The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Computer skills, required
  • CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred
  • Six months of experience, preferred
  • 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
  • Experience with all types of sterilizers.
  • Knows operating room instrumentation.
  • Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
  • Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
  • Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
  • Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
  • Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians

Pay Range: $22.69 - $32.90

Required Skills:
  • Must be a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
  • Experience with all types of sterilizers.
  • Knows operating room instrumentation.
  • Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
  • Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
  • Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
  • Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
