• HS diploma or GED required; CRCST/central processing tech cert to be obtained within 18 months.
• 0–1 year instrument processing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with sterile technique and infection control principles.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, decontaminates, inspects, assembles, packages, and sterilizes surgical instrumentation and linens.
• Follows priority list and OR schedule; routes instruments accordingly.
• Navigates instrument tracking software; produces a minimum of 15 instrument sets daily.
• Maintains documentation and adheres to HIPAA and JCAHO requirements.
