Job summary

UPMC Williamsport is seeking a Full-Time Sterile Processing Associate for the 3rd shift (Nights), 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, with one weekend every 4-5 weeks and two holidays per year. This role trains to decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, sterilize, store, and document reusable surgical instrumentation according to established procedures.

Final candidates are placed on the career ladder based on education, experience, and manager discretion. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is eligible.

Responsibilities

• Monitors sterilizer parameters to ensure proper function.
• Maintains knowledge to troubleshoot decontamination/sterilization equipment.
• Assesses supplies for procedures and maintains inventory.
• Communicates with good interpersonal skills.
• Supports cost containment through efficient time, motion, and material use.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Develops skills through training and education.
• Works as a team member and is accountable for duties.
