Job summary

LifeNet Health in Virginia Beach is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to prepare and sterilize surgical instrumentation in accordance with SOPs and quality standards. This full-time, on-site role requires the ability to sit, stand, bend, walk and lift up to 50 lbs during a 1:45 PM–10:30 PM shift.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
• Zero years of work experience is required.
• CRCST Certification or equivalent preferred.
• One year work experience in sterile processing or inspection preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately inspects, prepares and packages all instrumentation and equipment for sterilization.
• Decontaminates all instrumentation and equipment effectively ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Stocks case carts to ensure all items are accounted for and available for processing and/or other departments.
• Sterilizes all equipment using appropriate methods and completes documentation.
• Participate in department continuous improvement initiatives as assigned by management.
