Job summary

LifeNet Health in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Processing Technician OB to perform all aspects of tissue processing, preservation and storage in an FDA-regulated environment. You'll work in a sterile team setting, follow procedures, and support quality assessments and documentation to ensure compliant product flow.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
• Zero years of work experience required.
• CTBS certification preferred.
• One year Tissue Processing Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Tissue Processing: Reviews work orders or processing instructions/scheduling prior to initiating production. Works with production supervisors to adjust plans as needed. Performs all aspects of processing tissue (debridement, dissection, cutting, cleaning and disinfection, sizing, assessing) according to current procedures and protocols.
• Packaging: Perform all aspects of packaging and preservation of tissue products (confirmation of sizing, quality, packaging materials, cryopreservation, etc.) according to current procedures and protocols.
• Documentation & Data Entry: Document all processes and functions performed in accordance with all procedures and protocols.
• Decontamination: Perform post-processing decontamination of equipment and the processing room according to current procedures and protocols.
