Sterile Processing Technician

Location: Virginia Beach, VA (Concert Dr.)

Department: Production & Logistics

Job Type: Full-1:45PM-10:30PM; OT & On-Call as needed; Essential Personnel

Important: This role requires the ability to sit, stand, bend, walk and lift up to 50 lbs. for the duration of the shift; as well as wear personal protective equipment to include surgical gowns, masks, visors or goggles and caps.

What you’ll do:

• Accurately inspects, prepares and packages all instrumentation and equipment for sterilization.
• Decontaminates all instrumentation and equipment effectively ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Stocks case carts to ensure all items are accounted for and available for processing and/or other departments as assigned. Processes and completes associated case cart documentation.
• Sterilizes all equipment ensuring the appropriate sterilization method is used and respective SOP followed. Operates Steam and EO sterilizers and accurately completes associated documentation.
• Participates in department continuous improvement initiatives, as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• One(1) year of work experience

Preferred Experience / Skills / Certifications:

• Previous experience in a sterile processing environment or inspection role preferred
• CRCST Certification or equivalent preferred

Salary: $16.00 / hourly

*The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location and the candidate’s qualifications, including prior relevant experience. These positions start at a flat rate of $16.00/hour.

*Actual compensation may be higher based on the successful candidate's knowledge and relevant experience.

This position is eligible for an annual bonus once eligibility criteria are met.
