Sterile Processing Technician Lead Responsibilities:

• The Tech Lead assembles complex trays and prioritizes instruments, utilizing critical thinking to meet OR needs.


• Assembles instrumentation accurately and efficiently.


• Assumes leadership and supervisory roles within the department.


• Decontaminates instruments safely and appropriately.


• Ensures sterility of all processed items.


• Maintains instruments and ensures timely distribution to all customers.


• Manages instrument inventory and distribution.


• Trains staff to be competent in all sterilization areas.

Sterile Processing Technician Lead Requirements:

• Certification: CRCST or CBSPD certification required upon start; certification from IAHCSMM or CBSPD preferred.


• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Sterile Processing.


• Education: High School diploma or GED.
